Who's your celebrity crush?❤

I was checking through my gallery recently and I found pictures of people I've not even come in contact with saved in different folders ranging from screenshot to received images to Facebook and twitter images and I was just smiling at myself. This is just like you would find the famous Korean actor in almost every ladies' phone, I mean Lee Min Ho. These people do not even know someone somewhere has saved their pictures from birth up till the one that was uploaded minutes ago. Lol😂 I'm reminded of a video I saw on someone's status some months ago where a cleric was saying the reason some ladies are stillsingle is because, they've already fallen in love with people they can't come across in their entire life.  We've quickly gone past days of Woman Crush Wednesday👩, Woman Crush Ever😍, Man Crush Monday👨 and Man Crush Ever😍 where you'll see WhatsApp status full of WCE numbering 1 to 10 or so. I actually tagged this 'celebrity crush' but some wou

Heroes raise Heroes💞💞

Celebrating fathers, OUR HEROES💃💃💃💃 The just celebrated Father's day has actually propelled me to write this to you all. Filling two different gaps as a child and a parent at the same time. How we as children look up to our  parents and how as a parent we ought to do to our children. Is someone wondering what is this girl saying? Well, I don't know too but maybe you just need to read a little further. Growing up, I hear people say fathers are mirrors while mothers are golds. I'm sure you must have heard that said in the Yoruba language zillion times ''iya ni wura, baba ni digi.'' I ponder on this and wonder why fathers are not referred to as one of the natural resources instead another thing entirely that can be so cheap, A mirror? Maybe I should chip this in here too that there seems to be unfairness in the days set aside like you men complain of in that mothers day is celebrated almost everyday (pardon my exaggeration) whereas Fathers day is just once

Heart-to-Heart gist❤

I've got the urge to write some kind of stuff so personal 😋. Yes, I'm not prying into your affairs buh I feel we should have a heart-to-heart talk😉. Relationships and red signals! If you really have my kind of best friend, you are lucky I must say. We talk basically about all facets of our lives, criticizing the wrong steps one of us might have taken and critically defining ways to get better. Well, that was just to tell you that relationship talks are part of our conversation and it gets so exciting when it comes to that. So, she was at my place and we got talking as usual. Fortunately, your people supplied power sha, we decided to watch one Yoruba movie that was showing. The first thing that didn't even make me concentrate was the contrast and the makeups on the ladies that gave me the impression the film must have been shot about 4 to 5years ago. Oh! I didn't tell you, there's something in me that doesn't go well with old movies, if it's not as recent a

Can I live your life for you??

What happens when a lot of people are pointing out the right way you ought to live for you? The moment someone says "it's done this way" and another tell you "that way would be better" All you put yourself to is simply FRUSTRATION. Generally speaking, we love acceptance as human beings. We want to do things that would make people proudly have our backs and say yes, that's my friend or that's my child. The moment we crave for people's acceptance, we tend to be vulnerable by giving ears to what people around us say so that when they tell us they don't like what we've done, we just at times gullibly adjust that thing even when we knew we had done nothing wrong. This act is referred to as PEOPLE- PLEASING.  It happens when we are so conscious of what people might say about us so as not to break ties with friends or loved ones.  When people around us notice this vulnerability, they would be delighted in tossing us to and fro like they do to coins

KONJI can not kill you

I could vividly remember that during my childhood days, I could move about freely with pants, stay at home alone with my cousins, play about with other boys and girls in the neighborhood, allow elderly ones to carry me and so on but such acts now would be considered a dangerous play where Yoruba would say "o n fi ina sori orule sun." Children, both boys and girls are no longer allowed to enjoy their innocent childhood, they take caution of whoever adult they come across with probing reactions and unanswered questions within them "which kind of person is this?" I could also remember those days when parents would leave their children in the hands of neighbours pending their arrival and they wouldn't have to think twice about it. The most disheartening thing is when the most trusted person go on to abuse the child and threatening such a child never to speak up.  What a world we live in! Has the beast version of these perpetrators recently been upgraded? That you fi

Complacency is a bad energy 🤔

Yaaaaay💃I'm so excited to be writing this to you again. Read through please 🙏🙏 Ever heard of the word COMPLACENCY? Well, it's simply of feeling of satisfaction with yourself or with a situation, so that you do not think any change is necessary according to the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, 8th edition. This feeling is so common that some people do not think it's wrong to live life with such a mentality. It might not be our wish at first but when people around start hailing us, the feelings set in and we convince ourselves that "for these people to have noticed what I've done, I think I've reached the climax" That's a red flag because being better is a journey not a destination. Maybe I should explain better, it's when you feel so relaxed and contented about yourself or what you've achieved and just feel "that's enough" even when there is a room to do better. People tend to hide under the saying "do yo

Smart way to handle criticism😎

Many a time we hear words like "that was so bad of you" "you did rubbish" "I was expecting you to have done something better, that was whack" "you look so ugly" blablabla and we might just feel bad about ourselves or what we've done and we get discouraged to even try further. Smiles, I really do not want to sound like a motivational speaker, obviously, I'm not. Just felt an urge to share this with you. The greatest criticism comes from intimate or I rather put close people because they are the ones that could talk straight to our faces. At times, they take us for granted and just hurl unpleasant words as they like not minding the effects. Criticisms are good as they help us to guage our stand, I mean positive ones. They are alot of people that are already bitter thereby looking for whom to transfer their aggressions to. So, when you ask them how your last presentation was or how your make up looks, they would be quick to point
