False impressions❌

Ever had a reason to make a false impression? Don't say NO WAY. We all do, it could have been in the past though. This false impression I'm talking about is the way we pretend to be something else to achieve an aim. Maybe I should start with this, those times we were young (even till now) when we notice our parents or an elderly person wants to send us on an errand at a time not convenient for us, we may pretend we've slept off and not answer. You did that, I caught you😜 Lol. Do you know what brought about this? I was in the kitchen planning to prepare ewedu for lunch and I remembered one of my friends was on call and had formed for the guy at the other end that she doesn't eat ewedu including other swallow food. Adunni why???  She had told me she doesn't want the guy to think locally of her. That was even another issue entirely, it was low self esteem and a willingness to pretend. Shikena! There are various reasons why people make false impressions but are they

Blogversary🎊🎈

Yaaaaaaay, it's my first blogversary and although I should be excited, I'm having a mixed feeling. Well, I guess you all have been fine? I am though but really busy with preparations of some kind which I would gist you about later😜 Hmmmm, this whole year hasn't really been smooth if you'll likely agree. Down the memory lane, LollyciousTalks started as a practical of one of our virtual ICT classes during the pandemic. The lecturer had created a WhatsApp group and had told us previously in class before the break that we would be creating a blog. When it was time, the instructor (whom was a Computer Science student in my school and we became friends afterwards) taught us the steps and asked us to go ahead and do ours. Firstly, I was reluctant because I was not active when the class was going on which made me just mark notifications from the group chat read. I could remember a few of my friends had called that they didn't understand the process too (since it was indivi

I hate religion❗

It's close to 45days of being at home and we have not resumed yet o. I just said I should inform you all sha so you'll feel my pain and help ring the bell to these people's ears. I've been helping my sister sew some fabrics but I'm having backache and I've decided to rest my back for a while.  One thing that keeps coming to my mind is a post I had seen on social media where a lady I had presumed to be a devout sister was saying she can't date a cleric. Well, I won't want to sound prejudiced cos of course I'm not but I'm sure some of us would have seen related posts or even said it ourselves. This lady in question is used to updating religious posts, reminding people of the time to pray and regularly quoting passages of the holy book. All these I think gave the impression that she would make a religious wife fit for a cleric which made a quite number of them approached her. Now, she said openly that she can't be in a relationship with any not

Danfo kindness🚌

This is the umpteenth time I'll be listening to Taking care by Moses Bliss and yea I know God has been taking care of me, and even you too. Ehmmmmm, we started the year together with some people but some couldn't even make it into the second quarter. Nagode Yesu, Daalu Chineke, Ese Oluwa, Thank you Lord, merci beaucoup Baba God. Also, I felicitate with Christians around the world this Easter season, that biggest sacrifice ever. I pray we'll live to celebrate more. Recently, one of big girl moves I'm making is quitting to board commercial buses. Lol. I would rather take bike or taxi and if the worst comes to the worst, I would take keke. The buses look too clumsy and it's kind of belittling the big girl that I am. (I want to be sure you're not mocking me sha😜) The last time I had a terrible experience  boarding a bus, I was sitting at the middle row with a nursing mother beside me. The baby should be in her first year or so because she had grown the first set of
