King of Thieves Agesinkólé 🎬

Let me start with the slogan "Agesinkólé kan omo re pupo - kuo beun na" So sorry if you don't understand yoruba or haven't seen the movie yet. I'll help by saying Agesinkólé is literally translated as "He who rides horse to rob houses." Lol

King of Thieves is an epic story of betrayal that revolves round a prince who was deprived of the throne by the king makers. He was set up as a thief by those he has solely trusted and faced the brutal punishment of death. In a quest for vengeance, he reincarnated and troubled the town violently by carting away goods even with no regards for human life.

The movie is indeed a complete package from the casts to the props, the costume, the language, the directing, the clean production and post production.

You know, I just can't be wait to be told after seeing the paparazzi from the premiere and the thriller, mehn.... I became so much inquisitive as to what exactly the content was and can say I truly got the value for my money. The hype was worth it.

From the combination of the thespians involved, I would say the choice of the casts is to be lauded. They all interpreted their roles with the "e" for energy. The undiluted yoruba language spoken with heavy incantations. Memorising those lines sef is a big deal for me. I can't imagine how many hours of practice it would take.

Moving on to the traditional setting and costume. Omooooh, the idea behind that and the final delivery was A-plus. I thought the snake in the movie was a visual effect until I saw the BTS (Behind The Scene), it was real. Kudos to Oga Femi Adebayo Salami.

They say there's always a reaction after every action and that was what caused the retaliation. And like Burna boy sang "we are the monsters you made" Agesinkólé was made into that monster of a being by the chiefs or rather king makers.

Those same people that condemned theft are more crooked in their acts and this is what happens nowadays. Take for instance a pickpocket who stole a mobile phone worths #30,000 would be punished by the people in government who embezzle millions and billions of naira. Who is the real thief here???

How can heavy punishment be pronounced on someone found guilty of trivial cases?  That is inhumane and I would want people in the judiciary sector to take note. Those who are just pickpockets or thieves that steal day to day foodstuff needs should not be given weighty judgements, they are far different from "armed robbers". It's quite apparent that they are in need of these things. Please note, I'm not in anyway supporting theft cos I can't even deal.

So, I would just urge everyone to be careful of their actions, to know who to trust when it comes to making choices. Let's try at all cost not to take someone else's property whether tangible or intangible, my brother e get why.  Let's all be brave and face our fears making God Almighty our pillar.

We can act rightly if we want to. Otherwise it's our choice which could be at the expanse of others.

Have you seen the movie? What did you learn? If you haven't, what's your expectation?

Virtual hugs fam 🤗🤗🤗

Pseudointellectual 🤓

It's good to have you here again😍 You are loved. Long time no vocabulary. I know scholars here may not really see those words as new nonetheless I'll still share cos what? I get coconut head. Lol So, many of us have actually been here at some points in our life especially when we're trying to really get along in a conversation and present ourselves as supposedly "intelligent."  Hmmm, I could still remember one of the embarrassing moments I had some years back while they were talking about network marketing like GNLD, oriflame, longrich, etc I was like practically linking it to telecommunication networks and everyone was like "no now, seems you're not getting what we are saying..." chai....my feet kinda dragged o Although, you may have tried to do that and not be caught that you're really ignorant of the subject matter. Such person that pretends to be so much knowledgeable when in actual sense he or she isn't is called a PSEUDOINTELLECTUAL.  ...

New Year Resolution 📝

This resolution of a thing sef, it's always somehow. Many of us pledge to do some things or even vow to stop some things at the beginning of a year but eventually we get incapacitated. How numerous resolution get discarded by February baffles me alot sha. Another worst thing about this is that some people even forget they made a resolution as regards a particular thing. They remember at the close of the year and promise themselves they would turn it over to the incoming year and the cycle goes on and on. Why do we find it hard to stick by our resolutions? According to Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, resolution may mean : A strong will, determination. A statement of intent, a vow. Some people, after so many failed resolutions have given up, they want to go with the flow of ''anything goes.'' The idea isn't that bad, it is however good when we map out how we want the new year to be. Whether to inculcate new things or thrash stuff that ain't ideal. Do...

Parenting 👪

It's been some few weeks that I dropped by and alot has happened outside here. From abusive marriage to Chrisland girl trend and now bestiality (blog for another day) The latter seems to be the most disheartening of all the stories. Like WTF! Maybe we would just have to pick one after the other but lemme first ask how do you do? And yeah, April is almost gone too in 2022, how have you been holding up ? especially if you're reading this from Nigeria (Top to botum) Lol  Nawa o! So many things have spoilt in this generation already and we don't even know how perverse the generation coming after this would look like. Parenting seems to beh the cheapest business to run now as there's little to no supervision required. I think I updated on my WhatsApp status sometimes ago how a mother approached me that her daughter got 126 in UTME and she would like me to use everything in my capacity to see that she's admitted into my school even after telling her the cut-off is 150. I ...
