EMBER Fears and Favours🌹🌺

The countdown has just begun. This is the only time we seem to be truly awakened that the days of the year doesn't stop counting. August folds up to usher in the Ember months. You hear people say ''oga o, this year is almost gone sha'' as if the year wasn't going before now. Doubled profit making is the goal for the latter part of the year as this.  (Singing) Ember ko ma ko wa l'ebi lo Ember ko ma ko wa n'ile lo Osu ''BER BER BER'' la de Baba l'oke so wa ninu ibanuje Ember ko ma ko wa n'ile lo The lines above simply translate ''God keep our homes and extended families safe during the Ember months.'' I can't say specifically who sang that song but It's been popular ever since I was young especially at this time of the year. Very soon, everyone will start singing this Good Women song too: ''Odun n lo s'opin o baba rere (the year is going to an end good Father) F'iso re so wa o t'omo t'

My love story💓: Concluding part

Delete that carnal thought of yours o, nothing happened last time and I still had my cloth on. It was a whole week of fun and adventure. We toured the whole of Abuja, it was only Aso Rock we didn't enter😂. We had dinner on Friday with two of his closest friends and I felt at home with the way he had introduced me and respected me. Just in that week, I knew I almost added 10 pounds because I was spoilt. Kilishi was always available to eat too. The Saturday night which was my last  night, we couldn't resist the urge and so it happened. Maybe cos of the sports I do, my hymen had been broken so, no blood came out but he obviously knew it was my first time. ''Tolu, I'm so sorry this happened. You see I never intended it. I'm sorry I made you break your NSBM (No Sex Before Marriage) resolution.'' I just kept staring into the space but I realized there was no sense of guilt in me. Maybe because he was someone I so much love and cherish. I told him there was no

My love story❤: Part 4

As we drove, I noticed the FCT isn't as clumsy as Lagos is. Everywhere looked so good enough to be called Abuja. Sitting in the car, I remembered a post I had read on Facebook about Abuja guys who only have cars but no shelter. The post goes on to say these guys sleep most times in their cars and then cook up sugarcoated stories for the well-to-do ladies they meet so they can house them for a week or more. Then if their excuse doesn't add up to the lady again, they move out in search of another prey too. I saw fine cars drove by with fine guys or rather men behind the wheel and I was like ''na dem o''😂 I wasn't looking at Alfred, I was just so fascinated about the urban area. I was feeding my eyes really seriously. He was playing a foreign song but on a very low volume, I didn't even know if it was Drake or Justin Beiber. Wetin concern local pikin? Me I was just vibing to the rhythm. I'm not a fan of all these country music jere, I just like the one

My love story❤: Part 3

Journey to Abuja on air made me forget everything at school and at home. Remember I didn't inform anyone. I got everything I needed to fly on my mail and I did as required. He bought a business class return ticket for me and the date showed I was to spend a whole week. OMG! You can't even understand how ecstatic I was, travelling to meet my boyfriend by air, to a place I've always been fascinated by plus the huge amount of money he sent so I could fix one or two things for my journey. I didn't want to look like a poverty stricken lady, so I had to fix my hair before I would travel that Monday morning. I know I was small but I had to just look mature to the people he might be introducing me to as his girlfriend because I obviously don't want them to categorise me as one of these underage girls. Never! Just before I travelled, I meticulously and painstakingly picked the cloth I would wear there. All the stuffs in my wardrobe are too ''studentish'' and

My love story❤: Part 2

When his flight landed in Abuja, he called to inform me and told me he couldn't wait to be with me any time soon again, I confessed same immediately. The relationship was in it's 15th month and he's still the same guy. He's so truthful and he calls me every morning sometimes when he's dressing up for office, he puts the phone on loudspeaker and he continues with whatever he's doing or in the car at times. There's this ecstatic way he converse with me,  ''Hello mine❤ Good morning'' I have a standby response to that ''morning darling, guess you slept well?'' ''Not really, I'm feeling a slight ache in my head and its unusual, I'm thinking of calling them at the office to inform them I might be absent today'' ''Oh, sorry dear, but you slept early last night, what could have been the cause? have you tried using anything when you woke up?'' ''I've ordered a breakfast menu and it wo

My love story❤: I said YES❤

It was on a Thursday evening when I received a call from my boyfriend. He works in Abuja so automatically he's based there. I start having goosebumps anytime I see his calls, we're lovers now what do you expect. I've known Alfred for a period of two years now and he's just the perfect kind of man any lady would have prayed for. He didn't just win my heart with his light skinned 6 feet tall body and a bright smile he never fails to wear, he also got me fall for him due to his altruistic character. He's a graduate of Geology from the University of Ibadan where he did politics alongside education which has made him penetrated into some sectors while in school. This gave him an edge over other graduates when he finished his NYSC to job hunt as he was offered employment at a reputable mining company in Abuja in no time. Flashback to how we met, a friend invited me to a wedding party and I gladly honoured the invite. As I kuku didn't have more than two comfirm par

Baiday palava😭

Yaaaay, it's a new week already. There's an unforgettable story I want to share with y'all today😉😉 Before then, I just wish I could have the kind of birthday I had while I was young that I would wake up to find my birthday present beside me. Days of Readymade gowns, shoes, Bible and other things. Why am I not getting this kind of special treat again sef? Oh, I think I need to tell you the plans I had for this year's birthday. To go on a yacht, to the beach, to go on a tour to Obudu hill or a waterfall or chill at a 5-star hotel or this and that. You know I just want to relax and be taken care of but I think its only Mercy BBN19 that can say that. Right now, it's only me that can take care of me ooo except I want to deceive myself. So, this past week was my birthday and I was really overwhelmed seeing my pictures flying everywhere on people's status but I'm looking forward to a celebrity kind of birthday where different vendors would bring in gifts for me l
